Specialty Advisory Board

The Specialty Advisory Board (SAB) is a mission driven group of medical leaders who are leading the evolution of veterinary medicine.

Evolution is an ideal term to describe our path. After all, it’s ongoing, imperfect, the result of chance and the growth that comes from mistakes. Evolution has no defined endpoint and serves as the result of, or in response to, the pressures of the environment at a given point in time. It feels just right for our intended purpose as veterinarians serving in today’s environment.

The SAB supports our foundational principle of providing world-class medicine and will accomplish this through:

Medical innovation

Cross-functional collaboration

Strengthening relationships with partners in academia and industry

Development of resources for the hospitals

To succeed in this ongoing evolution of specialty medicine, we’ve created seven dedicated committees:

  • Medical Innovation - Chair Brandi Mattison, DVM, DACVECC
  • Marketing, Recruitment, and Communications - Chair Michelle Fabiani, DVM, DACVR
  • Clinical Studies - Coming Soon
  • Medical Assurance - Chair Kristen Frank, DVM, DACVIM (SAIM)
  • Training & Education - Coming Soon
  • Network Engagement - Chair Zachary Neumann, DVM, MS, DACVIM
  • Retention & Wellness - OPEN

We’re committed to ensuring broad participation to achieve diversity in perspective and experiences.
